Flowing Free
Standing pools shimmer iridescent in day's light
producing spectrums of captivating color
Twinkling tendrils of sunlit speckled beauty
dance daintily along water's serene surface
Miniature stars stunningly enhance this show of splendor
peppering water with illuminated images
Momentary glimpses of surrounding scenery emerge
dissipating as droplets rain mercilessly down from above
Scenes disappear discreetly, eternally lost
among churning waves from the free flowing fountain

Featured Poet of the Month-Me!
I was chosen as the featured poet for the month in the featured 4 section of MUTT Online by their staff. Each month the staff recognizes a poet, writer, artist and photographer who have been working their hearts out for their craft. I'm thrilled that they chose me! In fact I didn't even know I'd been selected until today when I was on the site! Visit www.muttonline.com/index.cfm to see my profile, poetry and photography on the site! http://wp.me/p3Tdgy-c7

MORNING SUN

What the Sun Leaves Behind
What the Sun Leaves Behind
Slowly the sun surrenders its position.
Unleashing, as it goes, a palette of colors.
Needing one final chance, to exhibit its power.
Swirling into a painting; hues of pink, yellow, red, and purple.
Evenly covering a once blue ceiling overhead.
The print left from a glowing sun, disappearing into the horizon.

Call of the Wind
The wind has a song heard only by a few,
Melodic, sweet, and airy in tune.
It floats over the tallest of trees,
Soars higher than the greatest moutain peak.
An everlasting melody, flowing through time,
Telling of nature's magnificent gifts to its listeners.
Spinning wondrous, magical tales, Delighting both young and old.
Twirling about, in an invisible ballet,
Briefly encircling its audience for an encore.
Then rising towards the fluffy clouds it soars,
Sharing its whispering melody with the heavens above.
